The three-day Ikaria Film Festival 2025 kicks off on Saturday, August 23.
This year’s Festival will take place from August 23 to 25 in the open air cinema REX in Agios Kirikos.
The programme for the first two days will feature a total of 21 films: 11 short fiction films and 10 short documentaries. On the third and final day, the audience awards will be presented at the closing ceremony, followed by a tribute to the legendary Andreas Mortos, the former owner of the REX Cinema in Agios Kirikos, who made a significant contribution to the island’s cinematic culture. Also to be screened is the short documentary “Secrets to a Long and Happy Life” by Anna Katsa, who is of Ikarian descent.
